I've never taken scrap steel in before and am wondering how much rust is acceptable. I have an old wood stove in the garage that I need to get rid off. It's rusty and I can probably clean it up with a wire brush if need be but why do extra work unless I really have to. I don't want to hall it to the yard and be turned away. I've got some other rusty pieces of junk laying around as well.

wood stove's sale great on craigslist and the local trade papers. we have sold 4 just this winter. you will make a lot more saleing it whole.

rust is fine and pays the same

you dont need to worry about rust if youre scrapping iron-they dont care-I do think you might be able to get more for the wood stove on craigslist-people do want those things.

Thanks for the comments. Guess I'll give Craiglist a try first. Glad to hear rust isn't an issue.
