We replaced the circuit breakers in our house. We upgraded from 100 Amp to 200... got a bigger box ect. Now I have the old box and the breakers...

I know they contain silver.. I will try and get rid of them on ebay before I bust them open... I guess I will do the same with the panel... If I can not sell it then off to the scrap yard...

any thoughts?

If you have a large shed or garage, maybe re-use it there.

Not enough silver in small residential breakers to be worth tearing apart.

Certain brands of used residential breakers sell well on Ebay. These include Federal Pacific, Pushmatic, Wadsworth, Trilliant and Zinsco.

You might try selling the panel and breakers together on Craigslist. Someone will want it for a garage or barn.
