I found these antennas the other day drivng through a hotel parkng lot after a wrong turn. They were in a garbage can sittng next to a car. The garbage can was not an industrial grade and wasn't by anything else. I asked the front desk if i could take the 2 antennas. He didnt know they were there and was thrilled I was taking them so he didn't have to dispose of them. One antenna has a date from last year so its fairly up to date technlogy wise but I don't know who to sell them to or if they are dangerous to scrap. They are about 4' tall and I've seen them on the cell towers.

Can you post a picture? There are hundreds of different types of antennas, so it's difficult to visualize what you are describing without some more details (or better yet a photo).
