LED bulbs

Anybody know how to properly dispose of burnt out LED bulbs?
Throw them in with shred?
Throw them away with the household trash?
Take them to a hazardous waste disposal?

I put my led bulbs in with the shred same with incandescent and halogen bulbs. I take any Florent tunbes and twist bulbs to Lowes or home depot for recycling.

Disposability rules vary from location to location. Check with someone in your area.

Very true. But if they tell me ok to put in the trash I put the item in with the shred. Like alkaline batteries.
