Got a $1 FRN in a Filiberto's drivethru (I call it Filthyberto's, I'll never eat there).
And driving to the store with the wife I spied a golf ball on the side of the road.
I started to pull over and asked her to jump out and get it since there were no other cars around.
The resounding answer was NO!. Of course, going back this morning on the bike to check and...it was gone.
Such are my frustrations.
And the battle royale between the cash and the golf balls rages on.

1 lb 4 oz steel
$1 FRN

Love the running commentary. Your wife sounds like mine...I call her my silent ninja assassin of death. And she is, with a mere look I am slayed.
I have a neighbor name Filiberto. Never been in his house, but his yard is immaculate.

Nice work Tom! I'm curious how you found your golf ball buyer - are they a local business? I see businesses advertising online but they require lots of several thousand balls to fill an order. At your impressive rate it will still take several years to have enough!

Well good Dr., my golf ball recycler is just down the road. You can search them as Sunshine Golf Ball recycler Mesa Az.
I now have a large separate collection of "ProV" balls that fetch 25 cents each. I wait until I have at least 500 balls or so
and they buy them.

Double 13?! Sounds like really bad luck...but that seems to be countered by the power of 47 (golf balls), the atomic number of Ag. Keep searching!

Tom, I'm impressed with the number of tools you find in your travels, especially sockets! Do you think they bounce out of the back of pickup trucks?

I have a feeling they are dropped inside motor enclosures and they shake loose later on the road.
