Dishwashers

Recently I got a new vehicle, went from the Hoardmoblie aka a older Toyota Corolla and advanced to a S10 small pick-up. When I had my Corolla I was a 'Arm-Chair' scrapper, only doing copper, brass, non-ferrous metals, often seeing and skipping over washers, etc.

One night I see a dish washer and pull over and toss it over into my truck. I noticed that I could pick it up with ease and it was night and I didnt think anything of it. The next day after inspecting it, it was mostly fiberglass with the front door and a harness only being metal. After stripping the thing (it was a pain in the behind) I got some steel, a non-magnetic coil like thing found inside, some wire, and a motor.

I did do this correctly because a scrap wouldnt take a dishwasher with 75-80% of being plastic correct? And do you guys even mess with dishwashers, after my experience I am left with mixed feelings.

Yards by me will not take the plastic ones. I broke down a few and it was a pain even though I got the motor and all the wire. Now if it not a steel one I just cut the cord and move on.

I have a cordless Dremel that I carry with me in my truck and it, along with a screwdriver and/or pliers can cut out the motor off a dishwater pretty easily. So I just pull over, remove the motor on the spot and drive off.
