Here in Maine cans have a deposit of 5 cents and you don't need the tabs to get that, i have seen people save them and wanted to know if its worth it?

They pay the 5cents a can by pound averaging. And the tabs add weight, no matter how light. So the tabs add to the worth of the cans

They might be saving them for a fund raiser. There have been rumors for years about such and such organization donating something for every 1000 pull tabs donated. The only real one I've ever heard of was Ronald McDonald House was accepting pull tabs, but all they did was sell them for scrap.

If you get paid per can then you could save the tabs to turn later as scrap. It takes 1267 tabs to make a pound. If you are paid by the weight then as Neckro stated not worth it. When you do recycle the tabs they would get you around .50 to .55 a pound around here.

time is money....hobo says 1267 tabs = a pound....well at $0.55 lb that is $0.0004 per tab....another way to look at it is, it takes 25 tabs for every penney in scrap....my answer is....hell no....for your question.....now my wife donates her tabs to the local cancer center....I pull every tab I can and dropped them in her baggy.....my answer now is yes.
