Li-Polymer Batteries?

Probably a good question for Dr Cadmium. I've been saving up Lithium ion batteries mostly from old cell phones because I know these have some recycling value, but on closer inspection a few are labeled "Li-Polymer". Are these Lithium ion or something else? Worth keeping or dispose?

I don't know much about coins, so I've learned a lot from some of the other forums - that's why I spend a small amount of time here providing information. Nothing is truly "free" - everyone has some kind of motivation.
Lithium-ion polymer batteries, which go by several different name variations and abbreviations, are a newer type of Li-ion battery.
Around the home, you'll most commonly find them in higher-end electronic products where weight and size are major design issues, mainly cell phones and remote-control toys (especially flying ones).
These are dangerous if punctured or shorted out. Look on YouTube to see videos where people have intentionally abused them and you'll question the wisdom of carrying one around in your pocket all day.
As for value, I get so few of them that I never have enough to bother with finding a buyer - so they just go out with the traditional Li-ion cells.
