I doubt anyone will get any deals on scrap at GovLiquidations. I used to bid on auctions at that site and couldn't believe how much things sold for.

Yeah, and if you did win, you would need a tractor trailer to haul it away. Now there is another outfit called Liquidation.com that sells a lot of stuff that is returns and salvage from a lot of warehouses. I used to buy from them when they were in Bentonville, AR but they closed that warehouse and the closest one is in TX but they also have warehouses in other parts of the country. Too far away for me but someone else on this forum might give them a try.

Many of the full-time buyers at auctions, particularly at government auctions, will intentionally overpay for lots to prevent newcomers from getting a foothold. It's an aggressive strategy that scares away most of the competition.

That strategy sure worked on me. I haven't checked that site for a couple of years.

I've bought from Liquidation.com. There is certainly deals available, even if you pay for shipping.

I was buying retail returns and reselling them on Ebay. You have to be careful though because some of the stuff accepted as returns by the retailers is absolute junk.
