1781 German States and 1799 Switzerland

Postby TheJonasCollegeFund » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:43 am

Thanks to Verbane for helping me find examples of the German St. Andrew copper. These are recent finds from odd ebay lots. If anyone is interested in these please send me a PM.

The Swiss coin is billon but I think it didn't have much silver in it to start with.

German State - Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenburg-Hannover, St Andrew Pfenning. This is a neat piece. Great Britain's George III was ruler of this German state at the time this coin was made.
Winner of the "2014 Thogey Award for Long Term Coin Hoarding in the Face of Spousal Skepticism". Awarded by AGgressive Metal, 8-6-2014.
