World coinage - Sun-themed collection - New added

Postby mtalbot_ca » Thu Feb 27, 2020 4:23 pm

Good day,

I need you help .... I am thinking about starting a coin themed-collection related to the SUN. Coins would only be from circulation strike.

I am looking to start a thread which will help me inventory coins that throughout history has a sun/sun-related object on it. If you want to contribute, please identify the coins in the following way:

#Krause, Denomination, Year, Country, Comment

Here is a start....

#412, 10 cents, Canada, 2001. Year of the volunteer
#353, 25 cents, Canada, 1999, December
#374, 25 cents, Canada, 2000, Liberty
#378, 25 cents, Canada, 2000, Wisdom
#380, 25 cents, Canada, 2000, Ingenuity
#699, 25 cents, Canada, 2004, Moose Head
#530, 25 cents, Canada, 2005, 100th of Alberta

I will consolidate the list so it can be referenced by others if they want to start such a collection.

Thks!

Not a from circulation coin, but a nice historic coin with a small sun.

For Mexico, most of the eligible designs were related to a ''Radiating Revolutionnary Hat''. It is a bit of a strech, but I included them as SUN-related, because they were place in lieu of the sun.

Liberty is frequently coming from the rising sun.

Liberty walking half dollar, and silver eagle
Saint-Gaudens $20 gold

Then commemorative but easy to find.

KM# 135 Panama-Pacific Exposition
KM# 159 Oregon Trail Memorial
KM# 212 Statue of Liberty Centennial

Those are just the ones off the top on my head.
Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended.
