I shoulda put that 96 Canadian proof set I got in the January KSA's in here. It's pretty sweet. Who's got 1987? Bluegill and the Henry's are kicking it into another gear!

I will try to get something together. I also have a load of 1978 and 1974 for when we get there.

The 2 varieties for the cent this year. The Far and Near Beads. It refers to the distance of the obverse beads from the rim.

The whole "scan it, it makes for great pictures!" concept doesn't work nearly as well with something encased in plastic... hmmm...

Scanners are designed to focus on the top of the glass plate. With a very shallow field of focus. The depth between the top of the device/legend/rim and the field usually push the scanner to it's limits. A coin that is set deep or crooked in a typical coin folder will often come out blurry or partially blurry (the deep side of a crooked coin).

I'd venture that the thickness of the plastic raised your coins out of the field of focus.

Okay, so far we've had 16 years contributed by BLUEGILL, 10 from HENRYSMEDFORD, 4 from me, 2 from ONEBITEATATIME, and one each from VERBANE, ALONEIBREAK, and WHEATIE-FAN. No, it's not a contest. It's a group project. But guys, Bluegill's putting us to shame! ;) So let's see some submissions from the other 1200 people in this fine group!

PS I have 1978. So I'm not doing 1979.
