Realcent.org

The "project" begins with the first person to post a picture of a coin from the year 2012 - which they have in their possession. The next person then posts a picture of a coin (or coins) from 2011. This continues, year by year, as far back as this group can go. The coins can be from anywhere in the world, as long as they actually SHOW a readable date.

Please, after you post something for one year, let someone else go before you post again. That's just to give everyone a chance to share in the project. However, if we all get stuck - for let's say a day or two - and you have the next year, then go ahead.

I thought this would be the perfect time of year to start it, because at this point, VERY few of us have a coin from 2012. So we just wait for that first person to post a pic! Meanwhile you all can go get busy scanning the coin(s) you have for whatever other years you want!

Review:
- post a pic of a coin or multiple coins (preferred) from a particular year.
- they must be coins in your possession; no finding scans online!
- the next "entry" is of the previous year, as far back as we can go.
- only one year at a time, and please wait for someone else to post before you go again.

bump... just to see if folks are reading this. anyone found a 2012 yet? i know there was at least one!

I'll start us off. My two 2012-P El Yunque US quarters found last week!

I think this was directed at me.... apologies, hadn't started reading this thread before today.... guess I owe a year.... hmmmm. I'll go to work on it. And dang, that was a nice one to kick it off with, too.

I just dug out a great 1991 CCCP coin. So in a few days , months ,Years I will post it.

Technically, the date 2009 is not shown on your coins. But we ALL know what those are.

3 of the 4 varieties for 2006. The 4th variety was the standard caribou with the RCM mint mark. This one has the "p" mark on it. I didn't include it since we're only showing the sides with the dates.

Man! I *WAS* gonna do a big 2005 page! Alright, that settles it... I'm gonna do what OneBiteAtATime did... and show them to you anyway! As soon as this is up, I'm working on my 2003 page!!!
