It's British, and obviously bronze. You can see remnants of the shoulder and head gear of Britannia. As far as denomination you need to measure the diameter. It's either a farthing, half penny or penny.

If it's the approximate size of a U.S. cent, it's a farthing.
If it's the approximate size of a U.S. small dollar, its a half penny.
If it's the approximate size of a U.S. half dollar, its a penny.

It's about 1/2 dollar size.
Must be a penny.
