Starting with what I know. It may be obvious to all, but it hasn't been said yet.
1. The first image is exactly that of the Great Britain crowns of that era. Also used on gold coins like the sovereign.
2. The second image is of Queen Victoria, and matches that of the crowns for the end of her reign. But the lettering is WAY different than what would be on any British coin.
3. She died in January 1901, but tradition with British coins was to finish out the year without changing the monarch. So 1901 would be her last year on coins.
Questions:
What size is it? Same as a crown?
Looks like copper/bronze - is it?
Is it on a shoe?

Can I have it?

My first guess is it's a crown-like token, with lettering purposely changed so it will not be confused with a crown or considered a counterfeit. I have several sovereign-looking tokens that have the right basic designs, but major differences in the lettering...
