Please make some recommendations on online or books that can help to identify world and us coins. I see some of you are great at it. I have a official red book for us coins, but would like some resources that would quickly help id world coins an would give the silver content. Of course free resources are the best. Also some advice on good search techniques. I have quite a collection of world coins ad I am trying to determine value and history.

The NGC site, Prices tend to run high, but the interactive search function is great.
http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/world-coin-price-guide.aspxThe paper copies of the Krause manuals can't be beat. I buy them whenever I can at library sales usually for $1.50 and pass them on here. I've sold 10-12 in the past 2 years at cost plus shipping. Buy some used ones on amazon.
