Posted: Fri Apr 11, 2014 9:53 amHmmm, definitely not 1909. the bottom character is emporer KAO TSUNG, AD 1736-1795, reign title: CH'IEN-LUNG, AD 1736-1795
This should be a cast coin, and yours look struck and way too 'crisp' for that era. I'm thinking struck coin for tourists and not authentic. Sorry.

Thank you. I see *WAY* too many of these when I am attributing for the local shop, to not know more about them than I do. Basically, I just tell them it's not worth their time for me to research them, so they mostly just end up in the 3/$1 trays...
