I have been mulling over the idea of embarking on a collection of currently circulating world currencies. Getting 1 example of the current "base" denomination IE: 1 Dollar, 1 Dinar, 1 Rupee, etc. of every issuing country. Whether it is a coin or a bill.
Wikipedia says there are 182 different currencies currently in circulation while there are 193 soveriegn entities in the UN.
Has anyone here tried something like this?

I have thought that would be fun. I have thought of notes with QEII on them. If you have an Ipad, Iphone this is a great app. with photos. 3Notes & Coins 101, the money encyclopedia http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/notes-coins-101-money-encyclopedia/id391033815?mt=8 This app contains all the current banknotes and coins of every country/land around the world.
