I was surfing the Ebay auctions and I noticed many of the pictures of the liberty V nickels show an indentation mark on Lady Liberty. Many of my own Liberty V nickels have the same mark. Why is this mark prevalent on V nickels?

Is the indentation right behind the eye? If so, thats part of the design.
