Great Place for Coin Collector to Live

Postby Recyclersteve » Tue Oct 01, 2024 9:27 pm

We have many thousands of cities, towns and unincorporated places in this still great country.

I was looking at a map of an area in North Carolina where I worked one summer during my college years- a very long time ago. I saw an unincorporated area in the northeast part of the state east of Elizabeth City and Camden, both where I worked.

The name of the community? Are you ready for this? How about Coinjock, NC!!!!

Wow- what a name! I wonder if there are many coin collectors there. The community is probably too small to have any coin dealers.

Does anyone else know of any names of places that make you think of coin collecting?

P.S. Two communities just west of Coinjock are called Old Trap and Riddle. Man, they sure have some unusual names in that part of the country!
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Nothing to do with coins, but just outside of Richmond VA are towns called Short Pump and Goochland.

West Virginia has towns named Hurricane and Tornado.

5 places in one state- wow! Of course, as big as Texas is, these places are likely hundreds of miles apart from each other.
