Couple die clash cents

Looks post mint damage to me. All the clashes I've seen didn't do that much damage to the coin. I'm no expert, just never seen an example...so extreme.

Looks like a typical hammer or squeeze job. The 97 is interesting though got a pic of the reverse?

Thought maybe it was mis-aligned or off center, but thats not the case. Someone had fun with a vice.

Clashes will only ever show up on the high points of the dies, which in turn are the low points of the coin. The fields.

Say you have a lincoln cent clash, what you will see usually on the obv is impressions on either side of Lincolns bust, but Lincoln will be normal.
