ATB 5oz Coins

Postby hejira11 » Fri Jun 17, 2011 9:53 pm

I brought this subject up on the general PM thread, but thought I'd try my luck here. I need to check my logic. I consider myself a melt value guy. I got the 2010 ATB's and am getting the 2010 P's because of their limited mintage. I plan to purchase only UNC cased bullion coins for the rest of the series, unless another low mintage is on the horizion. I can appreciate the numismatic value of the 2010's, but, if the ATB series goes as planned the Numi's from here on in are going to be easier to come by and not as "rare" as the 2010 might be.

I have a feeling the 2010's will be the only ones ending up with a significant premium. You would be better off going with eagles, cir morgans, 90%, or generic .999. I only plan on buying the 2010 p's and I received 4 sets of the 2010 Bullion version. I plan to flip them all for profit and reinvest but thats just me. It appears the new 2011 bullion versions aren't going for too much over spot so.....it may not be a bad choice over 1 oz eagles but could be harder to move if silver goes up quite a bit. JMHO
