Ok, here's a little question to throw out ot the crowd. Your Uncle George just left you some amount of cash. (For all those times he never paid you to rake the leaves.) He demands you buy a coin with it. There's just too many coins for $100, so let's start a little higher.

What do you buy if he gives you $250?

What if ponied up $500, what then?

And finally what if he gave you a $1,000?

I asked this same question at cointalk.com last month. If anybody wants to see their answers.

I don't have an uncle George :(

if I did
$250 - 1864-L Indian head cent or a Colonial copper
$500 - a low grade 1909-S Indian head cent or a nice 1928 Peace dollar.
$1,000 - a nice Seated dollar (with Motto) for my type set or 1877 Indian head cent.
