Well since I have found the coveted 1909-S VDB and a couple other hard dates in my finds, I have decided to compile a complete Lincoln wheat cent collection now. I am just wondering what you guys know of as the best way to store and display this collection as a whole?

Congratulations on finding the S-VDB!!

I usually will get a nice but generic three ring binder at a store like Staples or Office Depot. Then I'll go to a lcs or coin show and get some plastic pages that each hold about 20 2 X 2's. I've also bought the plastic pages and 2 X 2's online. With this kind of binder, if I want to, I can display more than one of a certain date or mint mark if it's really nice or if I just want to save it. I can also save errors, etc. with the collection. In other words, I'm not limited to just one of each to display. I personally think this is a less expensive and more creative way to display and protect all the wheats or any other denomination I want to save.

Dakota: Is this the album, or one like it, that you speak of?

I do really like the binder and 2x2 pages idea! I'm not too excited about the albums like that dansco album, because I would need to put the key dates into the album unprotected. I know I could leave the key dates out of the album, but it would be nice to keep all the coins together. I'll try and make a trip down to my LCS and see what he has for supplies, thanks for the idea.

Thanks for posting that, I see that these are very nice albums and would be a great fit for my wheat collection. :)

Has anyone looked at or own an "intercept shield" album? These seem really nice too, and seem to go a few steps further to protect the coins.

I saw these while browsing wizardcoinsupply and they caught my eye.
