Why do people buy cull Indian cents? I noticed on ebay theres a listing for 50 Indian cents that are down right beat up and ugly yet theres someone just placed a bid at $18.50 for them. In my opinion I would not waste my money on coins that are beyond corroded.. Or am I missing something?

Perhaps he's filling an album? Giving to a child to interest them in coin collecting? He likes old and beatup coins? Can't afford better coins? Remember, "One mans trash is another man's treasure"

Strangly there is a market for older cull coins regaurdless of their condition they still sell. As long as someone's buying someone's selling not really sure what they do with the culls though??

You have to remember that they don't make those any more. This means many people just can not find them in change, in rolls, from friends, etc. So if they want to fill an Album or Folder, it's either those or washers.
