1798 Large Cent with a Cud

This coin came with a better coin. This was a "bonus" coin. I just noticed the cud on the reverse. I know the coin is very rough and I can't get the light today to show how the coin really looks. The reverse is way better but the obverse is better than the pics shown. Anyway I was researching this coin and found that it's rare?

Thoughts or info or price range or offers....please.

What Sheldon variety do you think it is? I'm thinking it's an S.161--an R2 variety. The S.180 also has the die cud over "States", but it only extends to the "E" in STATES--that's an R6 variety & would be worth big bucks. I think it's a nice coin with an amazing cud! It's finding cuds, clashes, die cracks, overdates and other errors that makes the pre-1833 U.S. coins so amazing!

I thought the S-180 but even the S-161 doesn't look the same. My opinion it's a later S-180 after a little more of the die broke off!

A person over at CoinCommunity said it was a S-161 late die state R-2.

Having looked at several internet pictures of both the S. 161 and S. 180, I'd say an S. 161 with a more of the cud worn or broken off.

Looking at the reverse picture of this coin note the similar cud flow towards the rim over the "TA"

Ditto with this one: http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=391&lotIdNo=6053 (similar condition but slabbed) which sold for about $100 in 2006.

When's the bidding start? ;)
How about now? I'll bid 100 times face value, easily.
Or don't waste your time. I'll pay 200 times face as a buy-it-now.
Shoot, it's got a "mistake" on it, so it's probably not worth much.
And hey, I gotta make money too. Best I can do.
I've got a buddy who's an expert in these things. Mind if I call him in?

Nah, man. It was just my sideways way of saying I think the coin is valuable. And I had just seen Pawn Stars the other day and noticed how often he says the same few phrases, like "I'll give you like fifty bucks. Best I can do."

Although... I did take a nap this afternoon.

I haven't seen the show in a few months. I do miss the history lessons.
