It's all about the hair on these beauties! VF - Lowest curl worn, hair otherwise distinct. F - Hair lines above ear worn; beads sharp.

This baby looks FINE to me. A few digs on face will detract a little bit too. The hair lines above ear and the lowest curl are worn flat on this copper. IMO, I guess you could argue that it is F-15, but it won't make it to VF-20.

I would not slab it...

Not worth the loot to have it slabbed......but still a cool (non tampered with) pre civil war circulating coin.

I agree with Country's thoughts and place the coin at a F-15.

Its nicer than a 12 but lacks the detail in the wreath to pull a 20.

What would be a good KSA starting bid?

I agree to not slab as well. especially if that is a tiny corrosion spot on the reverse at 12:00, It would probably get a 'details' no-grade.

Krause online has value of $80 in F15 and $89 in VF30.
