You know you’re getting old when......

Postby henrysmedford » Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:33 am

Yesterday when I was out doing yard work and my wife told me that one of her girlfriends had a Facebook post that her son was given a piggy bank from an old lady. And was wondering if anyone was an expert on the value of all the coins. I immediately dropped everything I was doing and was so excited to help the young lad out that we drove over to take a look at his finds. He stated that he had some real old ones and the oldest one was from 1980!I was all prepared to see at least some wheat backs or Indianhead I guess when you’re ten 1980 is a long time ago.

My college age daughter STILL thinks that people in their 30's are old...
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.
