I found my first 1955 double die Lincoln cent. Can see the doubling in the 55 and Liberty on the left obverse. I would rate it in fine 12. Will probably send it in for grading and then sell it. Been trying to get a good picture of it to post, but can't get a good picture.

please post a picture before you send it in, it's probably a "Poor man's" double die and not the valuable one. The one that's worth a lot of money is REALLY doubled and obvious with the naked eye.

It's doubled all over but not as severe as the links. Visible with the naked eyes. Should have some pictures on Wednesday. I think it will be a poor mans. I don't see any distinction between doubling severity on PCGS.

It's worse on the date and Liberty.

I found one this morning...ddo2. Pretty cool.

here's another link

Look on the reverse for a die dot just below the 5 o'clock on the "O" of "OF".

Don't know how well this scan shows it (I'm on a 4 inch smartphone screen), but here it is

Can you get a bigger blow up of "IN GOD WE..." I hate to say this...but from this picture it looks like machine doubling. The letters have a distinct shelf-like (or like a step down) look to them. I'm no expert but do some research on examples of machine doubling. I still think it's a very cool distinct find...I've never seen a 1955 like that.

Anyway you can get a pic where we can enlarge the image? To me it looks like it has a good shot at a DDO#2, but also remember you can have a doubled die and MD on the same coin.

I had someone else do the scan yesterday, then emailed it to myself so I could post here. Too late for another pic...the coin is taped up and ready to go to pcgs. Should know in a month what it is ;)
