Help With Stamp on Bank Note

Postby Kurr » Wed Jun 29, 2011 6:33 pm

My wife found this note. I have never sen anything even close to it and was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are.

I can read For Deposit Only, what looks like "State" and what looks like "Teller" but the ink is not good on this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you're trying to make it too complicated? Just looks to me like a bank teller stamp used to stamp the backs of checks.

Possibly, I can't really remeber the last time I used or really looked at a check. Mostly I do electronic spending or cash.

Thanks :D

Just a teller stamp that missed and hit the bill. Kind of interesting but can be duplicated easily in any bank.

Previous posts are correct. Someone used Abe to see if their check endorsement stamp was inked or was trying to be funny. Regardless, send Abe back to work in return for a tall cool one on a hot July day.

I'll take the Biblical advice on this one.
