No More President Dollars?

Just got my latest copy of Numismatic News. On the cover there is a story that says they are thinking of stopping the president coin series. Which I guess is no surprise they have over a billion of them stacked up in the federal reserve vaults and no one wants to use them. I kind of like them. I use them once in a while for small purchases. I always wonder what kind of response I am going to get when I hand a couple to the clerk.
But that figures they would discontinue the only series I decided to collect and have really tried to keep current on each time one comes out. Well I guess if they do stop the series I can just start spending all those unopened rolls I have. I won't have to ask at the bank for a couple of rolls like I do now when I go in there.
Do you think if they made a higher denomination coin people would use them? Seems to make more sense to me. If you could carry a couple of $20.00 coins in your pocket you are more likely to do that than carry 40 of these president dollar coins around.
