Hardest time identifying these silver medals

Postby Pennysaved » Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:55 pm

I was going through my coin collection and came upon 2 silver medals that I have had since I was a child

1 is 1965 medal -- obverse - Centennial of the Statue of Liberty 1865-1965 with the Statue of Liberty
reverse - has the flags of the U.S and France and in a circular motion has sentences describing who conceived the statue and designed the statue etc

Other is a 1964 medal - obverse 150th Anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner with a pic of Francis Scott key
reverse has a picture of Francis as Fort McHenry composing the song from the ship

They were both in a hard plastic container that was clear on one side and the reverse side looked pink

Any ideas?
