Seen this add in Shooting Times magazine:
1893 Columbain Exposition Half Dollar
Approx $25-$26 not sure of the shipping.
Is this worth the price? Didn't think it was to bad for the age of the coin but then again, I don't know jack about coins yet!
Thought it was knd of neat but I don,t want to get one if they are cheaper elsewhere.
Thanks for any replies

I would be willing to sell one to you for much less than that. PM if you are interested.
EDIT:
I'm not trying to turn this thread into a for sale ad. So now that I have a couple more minutes...

The cool thing about these is they were the FIRST U.S. commemorative coins made. Mintage for the 93 is right around a million, I think. The 92 was a little lower.

As a reference for pricing them, the ones I have are circulated, but still nice. They were between melt and $20, I would say. That's a guess from what I have seen locally, not doing any research on eBay or anything else.

Most circulated ones run from $12-$20. A certified MS-64 can get over $100 easily. Depends on the grade and condition.

Thanks guys,
I thought maybe the price was high after looking at their site but thought I would ask those more knowledgeable. :D
