This is a thread to show what I believe to be true undergraded Morgans holdered in PCGS and NGC as I see them come up for sale on the Bay. \
It's for fun and helps me keep my grading honest. Feel free to contribute.

Strike is Fair but marks are minimal for a CC issue....IMO easy MS-65

You should take this up full time. I'll cover the whole dentist thing for you. Just give me your name tag. I have really steady hands and I am a master with a dremel and a soldering iron. A business degree is close enough, right?

Here we have an 1882-s Graded by NGC as MS-63 DPL (DMPL) housed in an old "no line" fatty soap slab.

Undergraded on condition for sure (this is a MS-64-65 coin chillin' in a 63 holder).....but I have a feeling it will not cross over to PCGS as a DMPL. Stike is fair so What the hay....buy it anyway.

Bidding ended at $240 counting shipping. What do you think of that price, Doc? Did you win it?

Yeah I think it's a fair price but would have liked for it to have been $230....and yes I won it :)

I will post better pics when it hits my hands......and then decide to crack it out, do a crossover, or sell it as is.

Yep, I agree with the seller on this one......that coin is a 65.....PERIOD.....I don't care if the strike is a little shallow above the ear.

Shame the guy is asking $100 over numismedia retail

Hey fb101 check this out......same date and mint, same grade, same TPG grader, heck both are even in old green holders.
What’s different: Strike is a lot better on this coin but the chatter on liberty's cheekbone keeps this graded correct (honest 64 lower-midrange).

Well doc, it does have most of the "toning" colors of a nice looking rainbow toned coin.......Very good example of toning which enhances the quality of a coin and toning which does not :)

I'd be nervous getting my teeth looked at my Dr.Rodie.
Afraid he'd been "grading" my chompers with that critical eye :)

I just picked this one up a few days back. This coin rocks a MS-66 in my book. I will have it in my hand today to confirm.

On a side note: yuck look at those neglected digits of ther previous owner.

Common date at MS-64 ......this coin should be a B or C grade Ms-65. New cert too  I am going to blame it on the strike.

Anyways if you looking to buy a common undergraded or at least at the top off it's grade class morgan on the cheap.......here is you auction.

Here is a darn good one. Pay 64 prices for what looks to be a solid B quality 65 coin. If I am right, after grading fees....profit = 150% ;)
