1929 Newfoundland Nickel

Postby Hawkeye » Fri Apr 20, 2012 9:18 pm

I won a small lot of Dutch silver coins the other day on ebay. The pictures and description were pretty weak, but I knew there was at least 1 silver 1 Gulden, so I bid. I ended up with a nice little score, and it included a 1929 Newfoundland nickel. I thought that was kind of cool. I looked it up and it looks like it's .925 silver, which is also cool. I just wondered if there is any numismatic value, or am I just looking at a cool silver coin with a little history. Thanks.

Thanks! My nice little score got a little better! It's a nice little coin - I'd never even seen one before this.
