Hi guys. Found a 1920 canadian tonight by chance. By far the oldest canadian I have seen. Seems in decent condition. Any substantial value to this? Thanks (Also if more pics are needed I can take them.)

It just takes one to get you hooked on Canadian cents we started with one and now see http://realcent.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1639&hilit=+hole 1920 is the first year for small cents in Canada so you will not find an older one. Haha I don't think I will be so quick to jump into the canadians. This one just caught by eight because of how crisp the details looked (and from not seeing one before). I will definitely hold onto this as according to the value it could be worth a little bit. Thanks for the link!

That is a pretty nice find. If you don't mind scanning it, I'd like to see the obverse. The king's crown is a very easy way to see what grade you have.

While I don't have a scanner I did my best to photograph it. Hope this was sufficient : D

Hey uthminsta, would you like this penny? I don't think I will ever really want to start a canadian collection so I would be more than willing to pop it in the mail for you.

Why thank you! I have it already... but certainly there are other collectors who might want to add it to their collection. Or throw it in with a few other goodies and auction or sell it in the market section!

I've already started on my Canada penny album. Been about a month now and it's looking pretty good. Naturally, I have none before 1939. After that, I'm only missing 1947 (Blunt 7), 1948, 1951, and 1954.

On a separate note....for my new-found interest in Canada coins, I will be doing cents, nickels, dimes. I've been looking for good folders that show both sides of the coin, but I can't seem to find any. And Dansco hardly carried anything Canadian at all. I believe Jonas or one of the other regular guys here found some recently at another website, but I don't recall where. I'll search through the RC links to find the source.
