Moving coins across the boarder

To any Canadians out there who may know about Canadian Law... I live in Spokane, WA which is about 100 miles from the boarder. I tend to find a fair amount of your pennies in US change. So much so that I started a book (1920-1964). I thought it might be fun to pick up a couple boxes the next time I'm in Canada (whenever that will be). But I was curious if there are any laws that would prohibit me from doing that. Anyone know??

Just do not get caught taking over $5 FV of pennies and nickels out of the USA see --http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/index.cfm?action=press_release&ID=724
The new regulations authorize a fine of not more than $10,000, or imprisonment of not more than five years, or both, against a person who knowingly violates the regulations. In addition, by law, any coins exported, melted, or treated in violation of the regulation shall be forfeited to the United States Government.

And
except that travelers may take up to $5 in these coins out of the country
