Y'know, I saw one yesterday on ebay. Same coin WITHOUT the gift box...also went $10+ with shipping. Buyers are supposing they must be 50%, 80%, 90% ?

The one's I've seen say something to the effect this is a "large" coin. Pathetic that so many are duped into thinking this is a good deal. The silver content on these is so low (actually lower than a war nickel) that they easily turn dull or black from some circulation. About 10 years ago coin shops could care less about these. (Many still feel that way with a size was out of whack in comparison to the slight silver content.) I remember buying 50 of them at $0.19 each.
They're struck in a drawer somewhere. Long ago deemed unworthy of shelf space in my safe or in my bank safe deposit boxes.
