It will get worse before it gets better. Just like police being killed lately, it will keep happening.

The last 5 weeks have been the most terrible that I can ever remember. Orlando nightclub, Istanbul Turkey airport, Dallas police, Nice France, Baton Rouge police.

The recent level of violence in the West is almost desensitizing. "Huh, another one?"

You have a point. I'm wondering if the level of violence is escalating because of the desensitization. As if the perps are thinking, "guess we'll have to up the ante
and raise the bets MUCH higher than initially planned just to score the media attention." Perhaps those who had planned evil are now thinking they must morph
those acts into horrific deeds? And this, in some twisted sense, becomes a challenge to them somehow?

All seems to be accelerating, to what destination? Unknown. :?

While not all happening in the West, ISIS (or ISIS inspired) attacks have been upping the ante.
First beheadings, not good enough.
Burning a Jordanian pilot in a cage, not good enough.
Drowning 5 prisoners in a cage, not good enough.
Drop 25 prisoners into nitric acid, not good enough.
Bataclan theatre massacre, not good enough.
Nice, France driving a truck into/over a crowd of people for a f'n mile, not good enough.

Each more sickening than the last. And it is getting closer. San Bernardino and Orlando will happen again, here in America.

good advice on picking up a set of plates, but high com loses out on a bunch of orders by requiring too much I.d. just to pick up some steel or ceramic, imo
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

I ordered from them recently. All they wanted was a birth certificate. I sent a pic of my birth certificate with my driver's license just to be sure. Order shipped, no problem.
