Price at the pump?

Postby Delawhere Jack » Thu Oct 14, 2010 9:24 pm

Seems like a good time to revive an "old forum" topic, what did you pay at the pump today?

Regular unleaded (I guess it's all unleaded now) $2.749FRN/Gal. Wawa stations, Wilmington DE. $44FRN for 3/4 of a tank.

$3.03/gal for diesel in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Last week I saw regular gas in Ireland for Euro-1.29/liter; and in England GBP-1.24/liter

Face it guys, our fuel is still really cheap here.

Yeah really. It's around $2.65 right now here. Luckly I have an eight mile round trip to work and back, hehe. Of course the Rodeo drinks the gas like it's going out of style. I keep thinking about buying something new, but the 'ole Rodeo just keeps chugging along. If it ain't broke....

Here in Far Northern California the Oil companies really hate us hippies. Gas is about 3.35. Diesel is about the same. Luckily I don't have to drive much and my little truck gets over 40 miles to the gallon.

£1.21 for Diesel which works out to about $1.93.

Sounds cheap right? Well unfortunately that is the price per litre, which is how it is sold here.

There are 3.785411784 litres in a US gallon, so the equivalent price is: $7.30 per gallon! :o

And I have to pay 17.5% vat on my silver bullion too (20% from January!). :|

Alas I can't get into the US permanently unless I am either loaded or I have a job where they'll sponsor me to be there. I've had a couple job interviews ( I work for a major US Corp already), but not worked out yet.

Gah.

Probably for the best tbh - I would have had to live in LA which is, frankly, horrible! ;)

Wow! I don't think people here would react well to over $7 a gallon. I have a feeling that we'll find out for sure in the near future.

Anyway, $2.79 in Pittsburgh, PA

It does suck, especially considering well over 60% is tax. I don't use my van unless I really have to. :|
