I have never, to the best of my sober knowledge, provided a link to a video on this or any other forum but this one hits home. Chris Martenson has provided a very concise view of our future based on Energy, Environment and Economics. It is very watchable, albeit long, provided you don't get distracted by the Spanish senorita in the second half who is responsible for selecting the folks who have questions in the audience. I think she might have been hot when she was younger.
