I think this is the main reason we stack.... What a mess things have become. (But all if fine!, don't look at the man behind the curtain.)

You would think someone who was a pharmacist (a fairly high income occupation) would have been able to weather this storm, but it just goes to show that there are no guarantees. A failure to plan, is a plan to fail.

If someone believes that the answer to ANY of their problems is the government then death is probably the only way out.

The government is NOT the answer. Everything they do is done poorly. They take a dollar and turn it into 10 cents to the poor. How is that helping?

OK, I am a pharmacist and the line that scared me the most was:

"The head of the Attica Pharmacists' Union, Constantinos Lourantos..."

Pharmacists union??? The local mortar and pestle 129 amalgamated?

But the message I get is that so many generations of these Greek citizens came to rely on the nanny state so much that they did not know how to take care of themselves. Sad.
