First post glacial rebound is a reason for earthquakes= ice melts, land rises(waters weight removed) water goes into the ocean, raises the water level a little while, then its weight pushes into the fault lines, pushing the plates apart causing earthquakes, expanding the earth

thats the basics of it.

an earthquake creates static electricity days before it happens(ironore and gravel all grind together) that can be observed as flashing lightning without thunder before a quake.

These are just some opinions I've picked up.
