Where the rubber meets the road. Money needed for next step

Postby Sheikh_yer_Bu'Tay » Tue Feb 15, 2011 7:38 am

As many of you have already heard, Congressman Dr. Ron Paul won the first straw pol of the next Presidential election! :D :D :D

We RealCent'ers often talk about PM's as the only true store of wealth. Here is the ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPION for that cause! http://www.libertypac.com/

Now it's up to all of us little guys to get him into the Oval Office. This is where the rubber meets the road.

Please support Dr. Paul in this fight. Please donate as much as you can. Anything will help. Anywhere from $20.12 all the way up to $2,012.00 makes an important statement. The maximum per year contribution is $5,000 per individual and $10,000 per married couple. Please give. Even if it's only $20.12!

It is important to send a message as early as possible to the establishment powers that be. Both Democrats and Republicans need to be put on notice we mean business!

Donate today! https://donation.libertypac.com/

He's got my vote, and pledge. How about if we each sent a silver eagle? 8-) He's got the common sense, but lacks a bit of charisma. Maybe Palin as VP?

PALIN?! Good grief. She may be a fox, but she's also a loon.

I'll happily donate some bucks to Ron when I next get paid. He seems like a stand up guy and if he can save the US economy from collapsing, he'll be doing the rest of the world a big favour!

p.s. - I note I am not allowed to donate as I'm an evil foreign type. Gah.

I like the idea of donating a silver eagle. That would count as a $1 donation if you go with legal tender law!
This should go viral,a call to back our man, with our silver.A money bomb of 1 million silver eagles.
Imagine the headlines that would get.
Maybe Dr.Paul would start getting the respect he deserves.
Plus it would drive them nuts. How would they respond?
It's very unlikely he would be elected President but I can foresee a scenario in which he carries the right "publicly acceptable" candidate over the top as their running mate. But anything is possible in American politics, look who is president now.
The important thing is to be heard that we won't support the same old song and dance from Washington.
Ron has my support. I'm going to print the form and mail in my donation of silver, probably a eagle. It will be my first political donation. But any silver would work.Even send a silver dime, quarter, morgan or peace dollar.Collectively it would send a very powerful statement.

Hmmm... If the Chinese special interest groups could donate to the Clinton Admin.... surely you could donate, too. Seriously, money comes in from all over the world during Prez elections. If I learn how it's done, I will PM you.

I agree, Sarah's a hottie. I love the smell of gunpowder on woman!

LOL! If a junior senator who didn't even finish his first term in office could do it, Dr. Paul should be able to as well. Ya gotta believe, PP! :D

I put a call into Liberty PAC's office to let them know to start expecting silver coins coming in. This is a great idea! It should get lots of publicity! Spread the word, let's make it go viral!

If anyone has made youtube videos before, that would be a great way to get the message out! The "crash JP Morgan, buy silver" movement has gone crazy because of youtube. Great idea, sheikh!

Also, perhaps we can get people to write an opinion piece in their local papers. I've done it several times about issues I care about and it's a completely free way of spreading the word. Let's get this thing done :D
"Capitalism is the unequal distribution of wealth...Socialism is the equal distribution of poverty."

The misquotes and satires are constant, along with half truths and out right lies. The US establishment, Rebublican and Democrat, is terrified of her and is going all out to destroy her, as they pretty much have with Ron Paul.

(Note regarding "quitter": She was going bankrupt, dealing with the ethics violation charges. She could not have her state paid staff deal with them as that would be an ethics violation. Making ethics violation charges cost very little, and are zero risk. What else to do? The family was not rich.)

First, don't candidates pay people to attend and vote at that straw poll? So from what I've heard, it's a little biased.

And as for Mrs. Palin. Yes, many of the quotes attributed to her are actually the creation of Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey. But you can not discredit her failed VP run, her half-term as Governor, her eight-episode reality show, her comments before and after the Arizona shooting, the video of her speaking in front of a turkey execution, her constant remarks about fighting and battles, her "WTF" interview with Greta Van Susteren, her infamous newspaper interview with Katie Couric, and her never-ending jabs and jokes about President Obama's birth certificate.

I supported her when McCain picked her as VP. But if you are still part of her bandwagon after all of those gaffes, you really need to lay off the Kool Aid.

And I wouldn't waste your money, silver or FRNs, supporting Ron Paul. If it makes you feel good about yourself, go ahead. He's not going to win, and you'd just be throwing your cash away. You'd be better off buying lottery tickets - that way, you actually do have a chance to win, and if you do, you're set for life, not just four years.

Your going to send silver to Ron Paul?

If he is half what he claims to be, he would send it right back to you.

Sara Palin is alright. The worst she's done has been exposed. She's a solid American. But a 'loon'? WTF? not even close.

She's good people, Unfortunately not electable because of the corrupt media. She can never overcome the media ridicule for innocent and understandable gaffes. She doesn't know how to bend over a kiss the establishments' butts to look good. Is that a bad quality?

I though that way once. I was late to hearing Ron Paul's message.I only heard the MSM representation of him.I was drinking the Red kool-aid. Now I realize that the MSM only wants you to hear Republican this-Democrat that.Anyone outside of the typical candidate who poses a threat to their power they will smear. The media is in cahoots with government, bankers, lobbyists, corporate interests. They spend billions everyday to keep it that way. They need you to think there is no other way so the power structure remains the same.
Both parties spend whatever needs to be spent to keep 3rd party or outside candidates off the ballots. It never gets reported but happens every election cycle.
I live in PA.When I learned Arlen Spector switched parties to run as a Democrat,I switched my voter registration to vote against him in the primary.I was going to vote for Joe Sestack until I learned that he challenged a mechanic who managed to get on the Democrat ballot by gathering the required signatures.Sestack's lawyers filed suit and challenged some of the signatures he gathered and the Judge hearing the case ruled that some signatures weren't valid, just enough to be taken off the ballot. Why was he so afraid of this man? http://www.joevodvarka.com/index.html
He was backed by the tea party after he got on the ballot. But not a word of any of this in the media, except two places on the internet and a small paper from his hometown.I never voted for Sestack,I wrote in Vodvarka!
This is just one example of what goes on all the time. And I'm sick of it.
I'm not waiting around for a perfect candidate to appear. I'm not going to sit around complaining anymore. I am going to support Ron Paul because he believes in Liberty.
I don't agree with everything he says or does, but as I see it he's the best chance the average person has today.
Let the Government keep going at the rate it is and you will need to win several lotteries just to keep up with inflation and taxes.
I hope everyone would keep a open mind and just listen to what Paul says he stands for.Check out his website,go on youtube and view some videos.Watch him question Bernake and make sense. Read his wiki page,do some research.
The things he says only sound odd at first because you never hear them uttered on TV.But if you allow yourself to listen you will hear the ring of truth.

This topic of this thread is Dr. Ron Paul, not Sarah Palin. Please keep on topic. (I know, I have slipped off topic on other threads, too  )

Corsair, you of all people at RealCent should be a Ron Paul fan. Why? Because it is your generation, and the generation following you, that will be hit the hardest by all the out-of-control spending of the last ten years in Washington, D.C.

Both parities are to blame for this fiasco!

In 1972, I helped campaign for 18 year old citizens to get the right to vote. Then, as an 18 y.o., I cast my first ballot that same year. Since then, I have heard the same old saw sung by both parties. In this situation, we say this form of double-speak, in that situation... we pull out this other form of physco-babble double speak. All of it is to mislead the masses, the sheeple.

I, for one, am ready for something new. Dr. Ron Paul is the only candidate who is speaking the truth about our dire situations with the Federal Reserve, over-bloated force projection (empire), fiat paper monopoly money: "I owe you nothing notes", etc. etc.

Dr. Paul is not perfect, but so what? How can he muck it up any worst than the last two presidents??!

The man is for individual liberty. He is for true justice for the common individual citizen, not the physco-babble double speak of "social justice". He is the closest thing we have to our Founding Fathers.

I will gladly contribute to Dr. Paul's candidacy. I truly want him to win. If, by some chance, he does not win... my money will still be well spent. A clear message has been, and will continue to be, sent to the establishment powers that be. We the People are not going to be mis-lead anymore!

Ron Paul is too old to be President starting in 2013. I'd still vote for him if I had the chance, but I'd be worried about senility, and overall mental decline setting in. He would be 80 before his term was up.

That really isn't a problem. Dr. Paul is, well, a medical doctor! He is well aware of the health issues for his age and is on top of them. Hell, the man has a better memory than I do and he is over 20 years older than me!

Please don't fall into the age trap the left always puts out. They are using age discrimination, and it is illegal. He has an incredible depth of experience we can all use to our betterment.

Paul is by far a long shot to ever get a nomination by the republicans. I don’t agree with everything he says but he is more geared to what I believe. Realistically, who else in the republican corner has a chance at getting the nomination that has some similarities with Paul? They all preach limited government on one hand while having their fingers crossed on the other hand. I really want to see someone who isn’t tainted by big corporate interest and understands the pain the middle class is going through at this moment. One person I enjoy hearing is Herman Cain. I listened to him locally here on the radio for several years and this guy gets it. I know he is a real long shot but I wish there were more in the ring like this guy to choose from. I think the republican nomination will be railroaded again like it was in 2008 and the only opposition to Obummer will be another RINO like Juan McCain.

A message I recieved from Dr. Ron Paul and am forwarding to my RealCent Friends...

Dear RealCent Members,

A great man was born 279 years ago.

George Washington was a freedom fighter, a leader, and one of our greatest Presidents. But, much of General Washington's greatness was marked not by what he did, but by what he chose not to do.

He could have been a King.

Instead, he stood for Liberty and stepped aside after eight years, allowing our young Republic to grow into the greatest nation in Human history.

2012 offers our movement a tremendous opportunity. Our nation is beset with crippling debt, an out of control federal government, and a foreign policy that weakens our national defense and isolates us from the world.

But with hard work and determination, we can change course and turn our country back toward Liberty and all of its rewards.

Quite frankly, we need to elect a President in 2012 who will do a lot less: less meddling in the economy, less spending, less warrantless ransacking, less bailing out of Wall Street, less inflating, and less foreign aid and overseas intervention.

We need a President who will respect our Constitution, not someone who simply pays lip service to our traditions.

Because I want a President who does so much less, a lot of people ask me if this means I want a weak President.

My answer is "No!" I want a strong President - a President like George Washington.

I want a President strong enough NOT to take power he should not have.

It is no secret that I am weighing my personal political options for 2012, and that I am relying on Liberty PAC to fund my efforts while I make important decisions.

Monday, February 21st, is Presidents' Day, which celebrates George Washington's birthday, and we hope to make it one to remember.

On Monday, Liberty PAC will host its first-ever Money Bomb. Please mark it on your calendar and consider contributing. If we all come together and pitch in, we can take our country back from the statists that are stealing our Liberty and shredding our Constitution.

The next few months will be critical to ensuring a successful political operation for the 2012 cycle. I hope you will join me by making this Presidents' Day, February 21st, truly special.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

You know, I really do like Sarah Palin, but I don't want her to be POTUS, nor even VPOTUS. I think the role she is in right now is the very best thing she could do with her political life, and she is laughing at her detractors all the way to the bank! :P

If I ever go up to Alaska, man, she can share my deer camp anytime!

Okay, now back to Ron Paul... It's 11:53 AM CST and the MONEY BOMB has raised $394,273.26 so far!!!

Ron Paul :) I have donated money to his past campaigns and have supported the Campaign for Liberty!
Sarah Palin and other Neocon shills  WWIII does not sound very fun. I just can't get into mass slaughter.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
