Yep - scary stuff. But the direction we're heading seems to be some new weird strange hybrid of everything that is anti-liberty - don't even know what to call it. A kind of fascio-socialism, where the government not only tells you what to do, but also owns most of the so-called private business by virtue of owning their stock (paid for with inflated printed money), while having the power to do whatever they want to you with progressively little recourse because they also own the media and the court systems. Hyperinflation could be the least of our worries.

I hear you Rich, but I don't think the gov owns everything. More like the government is owned. Bought and paid for.

You would be surprised how much the government owns. When you can create money from nothing and buy what you want the boundaries are endless. Yes the government does own quite a bit of the housing stock in the U.S.
