"Gallup recently concluded that North Dakota is the third happiest state in the U.S., trailing only Hawaii and Wyoming." (The saddest state? West Virginia.) Sorry, Doc Image

That are some of reasons I proud of my home state. Copper rates are about 25-33%.

I like living in ND but if all the winters were like this last one I might change my mind. Here we are just 4 days away from April and it is still only 4 degrees above zero this morning and last Thursday we got another 10 inches of snow. And we are supposed to get more snow next Thursday the last day of March. It just seems like this winter will never end.

No wonder I am so sad all the time. Time to go sort some cents and escape, if just only for a moment.

Last week I worked on my tan for 3 days in NC. It is hot then cool around here. Spring flowers are blooming right now, they usually get frosted but are doing better this year.

So how is North Dakota #1 if it is rated #3?

North Dakota - a Southern Boy's version of Hell or maybe it's were they send you if there is no punishment bad enough for you in hell.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

I was stationed there for almost 3 years. Besides the winters my wife and I really enjoyed our time there.

BamaJoe and I did time with the same missile wing in the Dak, at different times.

It was a tough 6 winters for me. But there are also some fun memories.

My wife finished nursing school there in 94. She still thinks the health care givers in ND are the best she's seen.

I'm a little surprised that WV was ranked "least happy." state. I suppose that with the increased regulation/repression of the coal industry many jobs have been lost there. I will say that West Virginia is one of the most beatiful states I've seen.

If you rate the level of depression with say. . . Zanex prescriptions per capita, I would say that Califoria and New York would come out weell ahead of the Mountain State.

Around Minot, there were some excellent cafes and hole in the wall places to get a good home cooked style meal.

Like I said, I spent 3 years of my career there, and if I ever got orders there again it wouldn't bother me.
