March Inflation Data

Here are the most inflationary items for the month of March (Percentage change from February to March):

Tomatoes - 15.33%
Women's dresses - 13.89%
Gasoline - 11.72%
Lettuce - 7.26%
Fuel oil - 6.18%
Car and truck rental - 5.21%
Olives, pickles, relishes - 4.68%
Hotels and motels - 4.67%
Ham - 4.48%
Women's suits - 4.35%

Over the last 12 months:

Fuel oil - 34.03%
Butter - 31.89%
Gasoline - 27.48%
Lettuce - 27.31%
Lamb - 19.55%
Bacon - 16.39%
Airline fare - 13.69%
Uncooked ground beef - 13.57%
Uncooked other beef and veal - 13.24%

I get organic versions of lots of the things above. I didnt keep track, but I think the tear over year is higher then that on a few items if organic....

Get those gardens ready, its spring!!!!

Yes, depending on where you live, price changes can differ. The changes above are national averages.

opps I meant the year over year.... but tear over year works to....
