Every available bit of space that others might not usually see would be a great place to stash canned goods. Don't worry about what other people think about storing food in "weird" places, because, really, who's going to look in those places?

True, true. I'm thinking for ease of access, I might stick my 30kg of rice and all my dried beans under the bed to reclaim kitchen cupboard space and keep the cans in the kitchen. :)

My other half is bringing me some nice treats from Italy to add to my stash - hopefully some good herbs and a few gallon cans of fresh olive oil. :D
