An older S&W revolver with a trigger job would work. Maybe a .357 mag but loaded with .38 special for recoil if the .357's are too hot. I say the .357 mag because they are generally heavier and that will help her with the recoil if she's shooting one handed. Plus it gives you the option of shooting the .38's as well. I like the older Smith revolvers over the new ones, and they can be made to have a VERY light trigger.

Note on 38's in a 357: You will get a ring built up inside each hole right at the mouth of the brass. That makes it hard to switch from 38 to 357 unless you clean the cylinder very carefully.

Better choice is to get down loaded 357's or load your own. Either the Lee hand press or the Lee Loader will do nicely for not very much.

Correct for most, but I'm so OCD with cleaning my guns I take it for granted that most aren't, hehe.

remember, when looking for an AR ( or any other make/nodel ) - and are dealing with your wife -

it is easier to get forgiveness than permission -

keep buying.

Trigger is generally easy to modify. Find something she can hold and ask a gunsmith if he can modify it. May need to modify the grip for her as well, but that's easy. Model with clay and build with epoxy putty.

I think that the LCP has too much of a recoil for someone with limited hand use. Plus, it's not a revolver.

I never thought much of black guns until I saw how accurate they can be with a heavy barrel. I got one for hunting varmints and deer even though I have other hunting rifles. Very versatile, reliable and easy to customize not to mention they can lay down the lead.
I agree for home defense on a budget that a cheap 12 ga. is a true crimestopper.
I urge everyone to educate themselves and their family on the safety aspects of owning and firing any weapon. Exercise your 2nd amendment right!

Good points. I was not referring to the previous question, just agreeing that I never leave home without my LCP either.
