Does anyone have any experence with the Mr. Heater - Buddy Heaters brand:

I've been thinking about picking up one of the Buddy Heaters - Model No: MH18B - Big Buddy
http://www.mrheater.com/product.aspx?catid=41&id=116

It has the automatic low oxygen shutoff system as well as the accidental tip-over safety shutoff and you can use the little bottles or you can connects directly to a 20 lb. cylinder with optional hose.

However, I've been reading conflicting things that say you cannot use a propane heater inside. What have you heard? If this the case what are you planning on using an an alternative heat source?

Connects directly to two 1 lb. disposable cylinders or to a 20 lb. cylinder w/optional hose

looks like if you get the hose you can do either.

I use these catalytic heaters inside all the time.
they don't make carbon monoxide.
you can also get a 100lb tank for them

They mainly produce water vapor as exhaust. You will probably have a condensation problem as well as a low Oxy problem.

It really depends on how your house is set up, and the natural ventilation.

I have 4-5 of them and actually pretty much heated my house with them lol. My friends mom Actually woked at the place that made the little blue propane take and was allowed to take 2 cases home every night if she wanted to. Well she did and soon had a shed full. I think I gave my buddy $50 and got a truck full of them so i bought a bought a bunch of the heaters

I have a different brand similar to the "Little Buddy". We used it last Winter in our travel trailer when the weather was really cold at night (3 or 4 days). We didn't have any problems with it. It was rated for use indoors.

I use them in the garage quite a bit, and I've stayed in cabins where they were used for heat.

They do produce carbon dioxide, but they don't produce much carbon monoxide.
